... going to the theatre! Whether it is to see a play, musical, opera, ballet, I am always excited to discover new works. I always look forward to seeing the set design and costumes as a source of inspiration. To this day, one of the most memorable production for me was My Neighbour Totoro.
... travelling and getting to experience new things. This November, I recently went on a glacier hike on the Sólheimajökull glacier in Iceland. Albeit breathtaking, it was startling to hear it is the fastest melting glacier and how the 20-minute walk we took between the valley to get to the glacier was filled with ice 20 years ago.
... exploring the outdoors! Whether that is trying new walking trails, new ski routes etc. I always love to do these with friends and one of our first trips during university was hiking up Pulpit Rock in Norway: a cliff with a flat top overlooking a fjord.
... cooking - usually experimenting with ingredients found in the fridge or the cupboards. This inspired the FridgeFeast app which I aim to continue and hopefully develop! For Halloween, my mum gave me mini pumpkins to cook and so I decided to make stuffed pumpkins with ingredients for a risotto recycled from the same week and chorizo. The concept was a "stuffed pumpkin with pumpkin puree" with the plating to resemble a decayed pumpkin and cockroaches haha >.<
... chilling; going through "picture books" (i.e books with beautiful designs from different artists and designers) for inspiration and just good vibes~
